Self Reflection
The
LSEC307 course can be described as a practical course with a true reflection of
reality. In this self reflection I would be highlighting the journey within the
course and the learning outcomes of each part of it; finally I would be closing
it with some concluding comments.
For
a start, I learnt a lot of how a CV is built and I found it to be a very good
starting point for me as sooner or later I would be in a position where I would
have to start searching for jobs of which a CV is a pre-requisite.
The
next stop within the course was the interviewing process. Now that I have done
my CV it was imperative that I learn how to reflect what was put on my CV
within an interview setup. In addition, I learnt that it is important that one
should undergo a background search of the company that one would be interviewed
by. This is important to learn, since it would give me the chance to convey to
them why I am different as opposed to the other applicants for the same job
post.
To
be specific I consider the area of which we were taught about the meetings to
be a very practical and reflect the true reality of a real workspace. Moreover,
being a minute taker or a member of a meeting has given me a good basis of how
meeting are conducted.
Overall
I found the course to be very interesting and exciting. It has broadened my
knowledge in areas of which I would be otherwise clueless. I found the course
to be built in a very chronological order which portrays the reality of how a
person starts from building a CV to interviewing to actually finding a job and
thereafter being part of a meeting within the workplace.
